What You Can Anticipate
Installation of wood floors: Be prepared for a little noise, but well worth it. If installing a wood floor over an unfinished basement you could have small wood chips that occur from the installation procedure. To insure minimal clean up a thin layer of plastic is recommended to cover any items that need to be protected.
Most installations are completed in 1 day and can be walked on immediately. Remember to keep your humidity levels at around 45% to keep you wood floors movement to a minimum. In the winter time wood products can shrink if humidity levels fall below this percentage point creating gaps.
Sanding and Finishing
While sanding a hardwood floor dust is created. With our state of the art dust containment systems we collect over 95% and as much as 97% of the dust. Making our jobs the cleanest in the K.C. Area. Most jobs can be sanded, stained and finished in just 3 days with light foot traffic allowed the very next day. With our commercial grade water base finishes one can walk on the floors as little as 3 hours after each finish application.

That is why it is important for us to use commercial grade products on all of our jobs to assure the longevity of your wood floors.
Area Rugs & Furniture
Depending on the time of the year oil base finishes can have area rugs set in as little as 3 weeks. Our water base finishes are fully cured in just 10 days and rugs may be set then. It is recommended that all entrances have throw rugs to protect debris from entering you home. Furniture may be re-set after 72 hours with felt pads on the bottoms of the furniture to protect the floor from dents or scratches.
